On our next Early Release Day, the Ohio City Co-Op will be back with some on bike training. Download our informational flyer and permission slip from the link in the sidebar. We hope your child can join us on October 12th from 2pm to 3:20pm in the CFIS parking lot. All CFIS students can sign up, even if they did not attend the first bike safety course. To participate in the riding clinic, students must complete and return the release form on the reverse of this letter. They may bring their own bikes, or use one from a fleet that the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op will provide, which is facilitating the training (OhioCityCycles.org). Parents who are interested are welcome to attend, and are encouraged to help out as volunteer “traffic cops” at the riding clinic. Training will be provided prior to the clinic. Parents will be required to arrange transportation home for their students, either by car (using the standard school pick up location in the back of the building), or by sending in permission to the school office for their child to walk or bike home. To help as many students as possible use their bikes safely and conveniently, locks and helmets will be awarded to the first 150 students who return this form.
